The University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG) is the second largest academic hospital in the Netherlands with a staff of over 12,000 people in patient care, education, training and research, with a focus on ‘Healthy Ageing’. The Genomics Coordination Center is a bioinformatics core facility and a large data stewardship unit between the UMC and University of Groningen. Its mission is to unlock the full potential of next-generation omics, translational and biobank experiments towards personalised medicine and systems genetics for rare and common disease.

Eleanor
Hyde

Project manager
Eleanor serves as a Project Manager for cohort catalogue projects within the Department of Genetics at UMCG. With over 20 years of expertise in IT projects, she has worked extensively at both European and company levels, including roles at PricewaterhouseCoopers across Europe and the Dutch national gas transport company, Gasunie.

Her experience encompasses designing, programming, and testing systems, as well as user training, project management, and client management. In the past four years, Eleanor has transitioned to project management roles in Horizon 2020 projects such as EUCAN-connect, ATHLETE, and LongITools. She brings this wealth of experience to her role in managing the data catalogue for the STAGE project.
