Beta Technology (Beta) is a private limited company (SME) based in the UK. Its mission is to connect people and knowledge to promote innovation. Beta has supported EU research projects for over 30 years, providing specialist expertise in communication, dissemination and exploitation. The company has been involved in a number of high-profile health projects and has developed tried and tested methodologies to enable consortia to generate impact from their research through the successful translation of results. Beta is well-networked at a European level and is experienced in stakeholder engagement, facilitating dialogue with groups such as policymakers and patient groups. In the STAGE project, Beta is co-leading the work package on Engagement and Impact Management with WeDo.

Consultant
With over 17 years of experience in communications and marketing, Claire has successfully managed numerous projects involving diverse stakeholders. Her expertise spans traditional and digital marketing, encompassing areas such as websites, social media, events, and PR. Claire has a proven track record in developing and implementing communication strategies for several European-funded health research projects. Currently, she spearheads the communication and dissemination efforts for two Horizon 2020 projects, LongITools and Bump2Baby and Me.

Boulding

Project Manager – Innovation
Jo is a seasoned project management professional with extensive experience in effectively overseeing publicly funded projects, both from the perspective of project delivery and funding. With proficiency in designing, implementing, and managing large-scale, multi-stakeholder business support and EU research projects, she will be responsible for monitoring Beta’s project activities to ensure timely and budget-compliant deliverables. Leveraging her expertise, Jo will also play a key role in supporting the project’s communication, dissemination, and exploitation efforts.

Evans

Director

Jayne, as a director and co-owner of Beta, brings a wealth of expertise in business development and strategic communications to the table. With over 25 years of involvement in EU research programmes and a former role as a National Contact Point, she possesses extensive experience in facilitating the uptake and commercialisation of research outcomes. Jayne’s dedication to science communication is evident through her delivery of training programs to young researchers and her leadership in producing impactful videos aimed at promoting scientific understanding.
