EASO

EASO is the voice of European obesity professionals, representing a community of over 20,000 scientists, academics, healthcare practitioners, physicians, public health experts, early career researchers, and students. EASO convenes experts from all areas of obesity to undertake actions in research, education, and policy. EASO is leading the policy capacity building and outreach task in the STAGE project.

Euan
Woodward

Executive Director

As the Head of the EASO Secretariat, Euan oversees the development and execution of the EASO strategic plan and associated initiatives. His responsibilities include coordinating various governing bodies such as the Board of Trustees, Executive Committee, General Council, Expert Task Forces/Working Groups, and the COMs Network. Additionally, he represents EASO in international consultations, research projects, and meetings, facilitating the organisation’s international multistakeholder collaborations.

Sheree
Bryant
Director of Communications

Sheree Bryant is EASO Director of Communications and supports the organisation across work streams. She is also EASO liaison to the European patient organisation, the European Coalition of People Living with Obesity.

Sheree has implemented communication and dissemination strategies across several European project and has worked in public health policy and  research, education, programme management, social policy, CSR and communications in the US and Europe for decades.

Ximena Ramos Salas
EASO Consultant, Research and Policy

Ximena Ramos Salas has a PhD in Public Health with a specialisation in Health Promotion & Socio-Behavioural Sciences from the University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada and is a global obesity and weight stigma expert. She has published numerous scientific articlesand lectured widely on obesity prevention and management, weight bias and stigma, health inequalities, and person-centred healthcare. Ximena coordinated the process that created the 2020 Canadian clinical practice guidelines for the management of obesity in adults, the international adaptation of the Canadian clinical practice guidelines in Chile and Ireland, and is supporting the development of the clinical practice guidelines for adult obesity in Mexico. Born in Chile, Ximena is a Canadian citizen currently living in Sweden.
