The STAGE Project marked a significant milestone with its third General Assembly, held in the vibrant city of Barcelona, Spain. Set against the stunning backdrop of the Casa Convalescència at Sant Pau Hospital—a landmark of modernist architecture—the two-day event was hosted by consortium partners WeDo Project Intelligence Made Easy SL in close collaboration with the Project Coordinator, University of Oulu.

Throughout the meeting, teams shared their latest advancements, celebrated key milestones, and engaged in thoughtful conversations about future directions. These gatherings are not only essential for evaluating progress and refining strategies—they also serve as invaluable spaces for connection, inspiration, and joint innovation.

A defining strength of the STAGE Project is its interdisciplinary nature. Insights drawn from a wide range of research and professional backgrounds made each session dynamic and forward-looking.

Thanks to a hybrid format, over 50 members attended in person, while around 25 joined virtually. This inclusive approach ensured that voices from across the consortium could contribute to the discussions, regardless of location.

Capping off the General Assembly, project members participated in the Life-Course Approach for Healthy Ageing Together conference, co-hosted with the COMFORTage Horizon EU Project. The conference marked the official launch of the Ageing Deal, a groundbreaking European initiative aimed at promoting healthier, more inclusive futures for older adults. The event brought together do representatives from the organising projects, as well as external stakeholders to explore integrated strategies for healthy ageing and promote collaboration.

As the STAGE Project moves forward, the energy and ideas shared in Barcelona will continue to fuel its mission—fostering innovation, building stronger networks, and advancing healthier ageing across Europe. With each General Assembly, the consortium grows not only in progress but in shared purpose, proving once again the power of collaboration in driving meaningful change.
